![]() My move from Illinois to Dallas definitely did not check all the boxes when it came to ‘playing it safe.’ I packed my car full of everything I owned and had about $1,500 saved in my account, moving to a place where I only knew one person, starting a career that I had little to no experience in. However, I was ready for a geographic change. ![]() When I was offered a position to start as a Tier I trainer at Equinox, I was ecstatic. I’m the type of person who thinks very analytically and logically. This question is interesting! I look back, and I’m kind of in shock. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome? Fast forward six years with Equinox, and I now serve as one of 6 Tier X Coaches at our specific club. I knew that Equinox was a great opportunity, and I’ve had an amazing career with the company ever since. Upon graduation, my former manager that I had worked under during my internship had offered me a position to be hired on at the club I had originally interned at. In the last semester of my Graduate Degree, I pursued an internship in Chicago, Illinois, with Equinox. While obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training, and my Master’s Degree in Sport Management, I had the opportunity to work part-time at a local health club, acting as a part-time Assistant Manager of Operations. ![]() This is where I turned my passion for athletics into a passion for movement and self-care. Time passed, I graduated high school and continued my education at Northern Illinois University (NIU). Throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school, each part of the year had a specific sport season, or sometimes multiple sports seasons at once. Sports and athletics were a major part of my life. Throughout my entire childhood into my adulthood, I’ve always been a very active person.
